Acknowledgement:  The act of admitting the existence of an agreement and acknowledging a signature to a document for purposes of recordation.
Affidavit: A document that contains a statement, made under oath or affirmation, signed by the affiant and a jurat (certificate) signed and sealed by a Notary.
Jurat: Latin "To Swear" The certificate signed and sealed by the notary at the end of a document, near the "sworn and subscribed to." language.
Oath: A solemn pledge or promise with reference to a Supreme Being and the truth of statements.
Power of Attorney: A document by which a person authorizes another (attorney in fact to act on his behalf).

Most fees are $6.00 per signature.  Please bring cash & ID.
